2009 A3 Seat Heater
Just out of curiosity, how hot do your seats get? W/ mine cranked at 6 you can barely feel the heat. Compared to a Golf my A3s seem weak.
What have you guys experienced?
In addition, has anyone noticed that the leather on there driver's side seat is loose? You can leave a 'bum imprint' on mine.
Welcome your comments.
Thanks

Update: Was at the dealer today, and apparently VW/Audi have new seat heaters that don't get as hot. It seems that some were burning the seats and in some cases the occupants. A friend of mine confirms that his VW was recalled and lower power seat heaters were installed.
I have the same problem with my 2009 A3, have it always on 6 and there is minimal heat. Drove the other day a 09 Jetta, and setting 3 was plenty warm for me
Too bad, I enjoy the *** burning after skiing haha
The dealer just told me that the heated seats on the 09's are tuned down by design. I'm all the way up to 6 and it doesn't compare to my old Accord. In the old car it felt like you're sitting on bread slices fresh out of the toaster.
Does anyone know whether the seat heaters work on a thermostat or is it simply output power proportional to the setting 1-6? Put another way, do the seats heat up quicker at setting 6 than at lower settings?
