Exclamation Sevice

Hi People

My car that is an Audi A4 V6 (2.6) Model 1996, has overheating problems and the man that is supposed to be the best mechanic in my town (Maputo - Mozambique) said it was the Thermostat.

As he open the engine he also call for Timming Belt and Waterpump replacement.

After that I pick the car, I was thinking that it was a bit noisy (like from the cooling propeller) and he said it was ok.

After one week driving, the main propeller broke completely, breaking the waterpipe and one of the belts is half off the pulley.

I think that it was something wrong done by him. Am I right?

I would assume something was incorrectly installed because your fan should not break off. But this is a Canadian forum with not that much traffic.

Exactly. Unless you think the fan could've broken off on its own eventually, I would think that it's his fault...

I can't see the fan breaking off on its own...there's no stress on it. Anyway you can get pics of what happened? Make it much easier to see whats going on.
