anyone in vancouver lower mainland had experience getting the protection film? any good place/guy to suggest?

I heard with the film, everything you washed the car, you need to wax the film otherwise it will go yellow. is this true?

with the 3m film, any concerns?

I've been told by a few installers that the 3M product isn't the best (yellowing/bubbling) to use. The installer I used for my B8 A4 Avant sold 3M and Ventureshield but suggested I go with Ventureshield. When my brother had his Porsche done at a different dealer he was told the same thing. We both went with VS and are equally happy with the outcome. What I liked about VS is that the patterns are either purchased pre-cut to fit the specific vehicle application or uploaded to a computer/cutter at the installer that precisely cuts them out. No manual cutting on or around the car.

Regardless of what you use the quality of the install is very important and can make or break the final product.
