? Tuning options for 6spd Tiptronic

I tried the search option and didn't find anything, so hopefully this isn't redundant.

I just purchased a 2004 S4 and i just noticed that in the manual shift mode the transmission shifts what appears to be a good 500 rpm before redline. Is there anyway to override that feature in our cars through tuning or other means?
