I have a 99 A4 1.8t and ever since i got the car, the remote hasn't worked, even got a new one, so I've always had to lock/unlock the doors with the key. Lately the alarm stopped arming, and only the driver's side lock will lock/unlock. The lock/unlock buttons inside the car seem to work, so I don't think its a problem with the vacuum pump. Any help would be appreciated.

 

I would get it scaned with a vag-com or try re-programing it. there is a DIY in the DIY section on how to re-program

 

I've tried programming the key, even switched between the two, but nothings happening. I've learned to live with sticking the key in the door, but now thats not even working.
