of course i couldn't help myself, i immediately disassembled it to evaluate the quality:
- looks like its all CNC machined from billet aluminum, lid is polished to a mirror finish
- case is extremely heavy duty, walls are massively thick , weighs about 1 lb
- low friction 3 o-ring piston design, no diaphragm to wear out or burst
- screw (nut actually) adjustable
- spring is ground flat on ends
- heavy duty change spring for higher tension range

of course i'm very pleased with my purchase, especially since it cost LESS THAN TWENTY BUCKS!! shipping was low, no tax, duty etc.
Yes, i, bought it off eBay, got it in 3 days, seller is listed in Champlain US but he shipped it from Montreal!
Compare that to the $128 the dealer wanted for the crappy plastic OEM one... no contest !!

i also scored some intercooler piping and other bits for a song...

I can't wait to install this stuff!

It's in - so far so good, it seems to do what its supposed to, but i haven't put the car though its paces yet since i'm still waiting for the new MAF sensor to arrive- so in the mean time i'm driving like Mr Magoo. Hopefully it'l arrive in a day or 2 and then i can give it a real workout.
