On a side note I'm just wating for a RNS-E unit from e-bay to arrive, has anyone installed one before?

it's easy, 10 mins work.
you also have to check if you have bose system package on your car, if you do the RNS-E package should include a boss harness with it. anything else.
make srue the seller sell it with the keys too for taking your stock unit out.

 

Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread but I'm not exactly sure what head unit I have? It's in a 2005 a4 on my radio card it says Model Name: symphony so I figured it was a symphony I but I don't know? Do you have an email I can send you a pic of what's in my car?

I would go......but my car wont start after i shut it off anyone else have a startin problem its crank for a long **** time bout 3-4 times then wait a bit then stumbles to start after i smell a tank of gas it start...basically id go but id be too embarrased if it doesnt start
