Default Daytime Running Lights on a TT

I recently imported a TT from the US and had the work to get the Daytime running lights done.

Basically what happens now is my fog lights are on the entire time, even when I turn on the xenons, is this normal?

I didn't think it was, so I asked the service guy and he basically said that that's all they can do to get daytime running lights on a TT (I would think that if I turn the **** to xenons it could shut them off, and if I pulled the **** out it'd turn them on).

Did I just get hosed??

On my TT the fogs are my daytime running lights, but turning on the xenons turns the fogs off, unless you pull the **** out to run both xenons & fogs.

Yah that's what I thought (and others have confirmed as well).

I'm going to see if the dealership will fix it to the right spec.

keep the fogs on fulltime...I like that look. My B6 A4 Avant had that, and I liked it. My B7 S4 sedan doesn't. Anyone know how to get that done?

Update: Byran over at Independent Tuning in Toronto took care of the work (the Audi dealership refunded the money for labour and parts).

Fog lights are on while the lights are off
Fog lights SHUT OFF when you turn the headlights on
Fog lights TURN ON when you pull out the light switch
Fog lights SHUT OFF if they are on when you turn on the high beams

Byran did a perfect job in a fraction of the time it took the dealership. SUPER impressed!!
