Thumbs up Diverter or Blow off valve question

Hi,

I have an A4 1.8T 2004. I want to put a diverter or blow off to hear the cool psshh noise :P

Now my friend says blow off causes engine checks and diverter you need to put an intake.

Are those true ?

What's the difference between the two and which should I put ?

Thanks
Dan

put a diverter valve on.. if you put a blow off valve, you will get check engine lights... your buddy is right...

if you want that sound just stay with the DV and get an intake. You will hear the sound!!! Get a chip and it will be a hall of alot louder.
