I am considering tinting the windows on my A3 , does anyone out there have any input on the various degrees ( % ) of tint.....I've seen these expressed as levels i.e. 35 % but that means nothing....and is there a preferred type of material ?

the lower the percentage the darker the tint is so 5% is limo tint or close to it I have 35% all around on my car its pretty common its not super dark but it gives a nice look to your car

 

Apparently 35% is the legal limit in Ontario. I think it's the perfect shade as it blocks out light but you can still see at night.

 

I don't think i've read this anywhere, I though it was up to the officer's discretion to discern what is "too dark" but i'll search around for a little bit.

 

i got 20% all around and you can still see at night!
