Damn it looks nice without a front plate, I wish Ontario would stop requiring one already...

Where are you located?

Well im in southern california. I stumbled on this website awhile back and realized it was canada based ( i was researching some audi stuff). Anyway, i thought i'd share my led project result!

California requires front license plates too! there are cities that really reinforces them- but (knock on wood)i drove my 1.8t passat wagon for 8 years w/out a front plate (well a european plate for a couple of years) and never got a citation.

yes i agree that front plates obscures the front grill design

What parts were required? Do you have vendors/part numbers. Obviously I like the look of would not be asking ...

It's a fairly inexpensive project--- (of course, being that it is cheap compared to the real OEM thing-- be advised that this MOD is done AYOR-at your own risk).
Also- do not expect the brightness/output as clear and bright during the day like the S5 or the S6- it isn't - since the led strip i used has a built-in inverted lense to have a brighter glow-- but no focusing lense (collimators) hence they glow/light gets washed out during daylight/direct sunlight- but when darkness comes, or cloudy/overcast day-- or towards late afternoon, evening.. the led bars are truly pretty!

here's my write up
