Hi
I replaced my clutch 3 days ago and last night ,I was driving my A4 ,and I heard one weird noise and stoped completely and checked everything and again put it into gear 1 but couldn't move the car, the RPM and Km counter goes up but car doesn't move !!!!!and also try gear 2 , gear 3 ,but nothing happend just stuck on the road !!!!pls help
audi A4 98 quattro 2.8

It doesent sound like it is going into proper gear selection are you sure you installed the clutch properly?

that is the strangest thing I've ever heard... it almost sounds like as if none of your driveshafts were connected to the wheels...

does it make any kind of noise when you put it in gear?

The fact your speedo moves makes me believe the transmission works to some extent...

yeh if your gauges are climbing, like Speed, then that's ODD, and i mean ODD. imagine a girl walking down the street.....with no legs.......See how odd!

i wouldnt be suprised if you have a bad clutch and its just spinning due to the kevlar coming off the plate. then everything up to the clutch and pressure plate would be spinning...everything after....gears and tranny, Drive shafts would not be ingaged. Anyone know where are cars read the speed? RPM's are done at the engine...speed done electronicly somewhere?

I think your refering to GIAC. Im no expert but from reading all the diferent forums....audigeeks, a4mods, audiforum, and so on, GIAC seems to be the prefered chip by most. Some say it seems to be the most reliale with good gains.
