Default Question about Dectane Audi A4 B7 Dayline Headlights

Hello,

I recently purchased a set of Audi A4 B7 Headlights for Dectane. I have factory halogen lights already and was wondering why when I plug my new housing in there is no light output at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2.0T quattro 2006 with OEM Halogens.

New lights are Xenon or Bi-xenon right. Thought you had to get an extra light harness (Kufatec?) to remap all the wiring.

Thanks a4audi4fun!

but actually the lights are halogen projectors, they house an h7 bulb which is the same as my OEM halogens. I assumed the connectors would have been the same, would the harness adapter be able to fix this?

Hi,
Good luck in finding a solution for these lights. If you are successful please post pics as I have been considering these for a while. I had read that the light output may not be as bright as expected so I am interested in your experience.

looking at getting the dectane headlights (B8 style) is the light output not as bright? for that price I wouldn't be happy with lights not being bright enuf!
Dimophoto are yours B8 style?
Thanks

hey samak,

you are correct in that the light output is drastically decreased with the new housing due to the projector. I have tried H7 LEDs as well as different brands of bulbs, but none seem bright enuf. I finally decided to attach HID system which works great on the projector. (also the projector in the housing is a bit wobbly, I had to secure it down with wires and such, just to take that into consideration when purchasing)
