Default TPMS Malfunction

Has anyone else encountered this message? I am pretty discouraged that this is now the second issue I have had in 2 months. First the entire headlight assembly, now this. I am hoping it's a simple fix and would appreciate any feedback on similar experiences.

New to me.

Clearly there is nothing wrong with your actual pressure. Have you taken it in as yet?

Nope, because now it mysteriously turned off. Weird.

I know this might be a very very odd question, but when you turned your car on were you possibly parked near a cellphone tower, or a HV power line?

The reason I ask is because to my knowledge these are wireless systems and it might have interfiered with your system. I know when I am in a certain area of the city near a cellphone tower I cant unlock my vehicle until I am about 5 feet away, as it is a high frequency and it interfiers with the signal.

I had this happen a couple times. Just went away on it's own after a day.

Started giving me the malfunction error again today. No dealership here, so it'll be a bit before I can have it looked at. I'll update when I do.

Take it in and have them run a diagnostics to ensure there is no malfunction.

Sitting in my new Q5 right now and seeing this exact same issue. The car is not even 1 month old. Will monitor it to see if this continues to happen. Not sure if I am near any cell tower right now but given I am in the city I am sure that there is one close by..... I will for sure go into the dealer if this persists and let you know what they say..

I know this sounds odd, but the error message went away right after I plugged in my iPhone. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not, but I am having no troubles now. Try it and let me know if it works.

I fixed mine by going into car -- TPMS. It then asked me to confirm that the pressure was correct in all 4 tires. Must not have been set initially. Weird for it to start malfunctioning now though.
