Default taking her to the doctor

Lately I am having trouble starting up my car. It seems like when I press the key into start the engine, the engine tries to ignite but couldn't. Then I try this procedure again and it works. It is happening more often. I am just wondering if anyone is having this problem. I am going to Audi to have them look at it next week. Hope its okay . Also, I will let them check out my transmission issue.

did the problem start when the weather got colder (below minus)? do you get an engine light or anything in instrument cluster? maybe not enough oxygen while starting?

no engine light, but probably because of the weather. Hope it's not a big issue. Weird though because this never happened to me before. My bmw parked outside for the past week is fine.

does your engine start but does not really sound like running on 6 cylinders? more like a low metal-ish sound? because that's what I got. for the past 4-6 weeks since weather is a bit colder. it happens, I turn car off immediately, wait a second or two and start again and usually fine. I am monitoring as well.

yeah that's whats happening. I even tried pressing the key in again while the engine is trying to start and I get a high pitch sound. That can't be good .

well, we are two then do not press in the key in while the engine is trying to start. go and see your dealer, explain issue. most likely they will check and tell you that the diagnosis could not find anything. but I rather tell them because later no one can say "you did not come to us". let me know how it goes.... fyi, the last gfew days all good here...

I have the same issue. It started way before it got really cold out but I hadn't been driving the Q5 much to pay attention. Unfortunately I have missed three appointments to get it in (I should really write these down!) but it is definitely going in on January 30th.

Mine tries to start while the tach bounces at around 800 RPM and then eventually quits. Starts every time on the second push. Hasn't actually started more consistently since it's been cold.
