Strange oil level reading after oil change
Ok, so I got first maintenance and oil change. After pick up, I checked oil level and it was max. Next day morning, driving to work, checked oil level - minimum!!! I reseted MMi - same - oil level on min. Went to dealer, they took it again, after 10minutes came back to me with oil level on max. They said that they didn't do anything, just engine was not worm. I told them that I drove it for 10km prior, enough to warm it up. Anyway, took it, checked it today afternoon - oil level shows in the middle. What is going on? Why my oil level goes up and down like toilet seat after oil change? Didn't have that problem before.... Any idea?

Re: Strange oil level reading after oil change
Same thing happened to me except after oil change I was at 66%. Sometimes when I would check it after it would be closer to full. I kind of just stopped checking it because it wasn't consistent and the oil had just been changed for I figured it would be fine. It is rather annoying though especially since you have no other way of measuring it.

Re: Strange oil level reading after oil change
MMI needs to be reset. Mine has the same issues after I had opened the oil lid to check. MMI now reads "...bla bla bla...wait 2 mins"

Vehicle is in on a flat surface Engine oil temperature > 65°C Switch off engine Turn on ignition (terminal 15) "CAR" function button > oil level Wait approx. 2 minutes (4 minutes for 4-cyl. diesel engines) The current oil level will then be shown in the display. https://www.audiforum.ca/attachment....ine=1365347979 |
