Q5: What's new for 2012
Hi all,
Does anyone know what's coming down for the 2012 in Canada? When will we know? I have placed an order for a 2011 Q5. It should be here mid-April, but since the 2012 will be here in August, I might wait until then if there are interesting options that I would want. I really wish we could get the S-line seeats that they are getting in UK: http://www.audi.co.uk/content/audi/n.../image.img.png What else are you wishing for MY2012? Any rumors on what will change? |

I was hoping for the 3.0 supercharged V6... But doubt that will be in 2012.

Maybe the 3.0 Diesel? Is the Hybrid coming before the diesel?

Re: Q5: What's new for 2012
Yup, hybrid will be available in 2012.
Just not sure when in 2012. |

Agree with GenSpec, manual tranny would be better than finding out that you have a long lost twin AND he's Steve Jobs.........you get my point I'm sure.

Re: Q5: What's new for 2012
3.0T expected... in 2013 (right, that's mid lifecycle)...
Read this on the German Car Blog: "So What Do We Think? The chances of an RS Q5 are pretty remote. If there’s not enough market for an RS 4 sedan with the RS 5 in place, we wonder how one might make a business case for an RS Q5 when the RS 4 Avant is still in the plans. Frankly, we’re also wondering what’s the point for such a hardcore crossover. We’ve heard off-handed remarks in the past about consideration of a Q5S but even this remains to be seen. Still, with the expected move of the Q5 from the 3.2 to the 3.0T when the mid lifecycle product improvement goes into effect keeps us hopeful. This image is most clearly rendered as an RS Q5 and with RS styling cues. If Audi did an S version we’d expect it would have S style styling cues… or perhaps something altogether different as the king-of-the-hill Q7 V12 TDI was something unto itself." LINK |
