I'd suggest getting a wholesale price report from CarCostCanada.com...I was able to negotiate about 3% over wholesale. It's well worth the $40 cost for the membership to CarCostCanada to be able to put a report in front of your sales rep showing wholesale price and what you think is a fair markup.

CCC report will not guarantee you a deal, the dealer will still decide how much over invoice they'll sell you the car for.

The fact that I could hand the report over to my sales rep and tell her frankly what I thought was a fair markup made the negotiation much easier.But to each his (or her) own.
