Q5 supply & demand market trend

Considering that Q5's are rare to find, and it's basically a sellers market, i'm sure resell values for this car will be very high for some time. I was browsing the net and seen 2009 Q5's selling for the price of 2011.

Is there any news from Audi Canada if the current supply & demand trend will continue in the coming years?

Were you comping 2009 Q5 with 2011 3.2?

I think you may have compared 09, 3.2 with MY2011 2.0T hence the similar price.

Last year when I spoke to a few Audi reps they told me Audi doesn't want to flood the market with the Q5 to maintain it's value. Perhaps that might have changed.

Availability is getting worse, we were just told to start quoting February/March for deliveries.

:-( . It's good demand is so high but not good folks have to wait so long, they might lose business to other competitors.

Afretes, when you got this information? Just now, like week ago? I'm waiting for one and afraid that it may delay significantly if that is true....

Personally I think this time frame impacts net new orders. You should be good IMO.

I can unfortunately confirm that availability is bad!! got the news last week that our order which had been originally estimated for mid october is pushed to mid november. Bitterly dissapointed since we were hoping to do some great fall driving with the vehicle.

Warcity- a few weeks ago I saw a few 2009 3.2's selling for 50-58k on auto123.com
funny thing is there all gone! I think there one still avail. at 50k (s-line) 25,000km
I checked and a 2011 3.2 Premium S-line is 52K (before neg.)

Strange - there's no shortage in the US!

I have a friend in Northern California, and he mentioned the Audi dealers have lots of Q5's. If you go to Audi of America > Special Offers, and check stock, the dealers have between 5 and 23 new 2011 Q5's for sale. It comes to a total of 68 new Q5's at the 7 Bay Area dealers.

Maybe it is not so much a shortage as an unequal distribution.
