q5 - some technical assistance please
hello -
1.i'm somewhat technically challenged so need some help please on best way to upload music to the hard drive. vehicle has an ipod/ipod connector and two sd card slots. can i upload my music from my iphone and can/should i purchase a flash/thumb driver adapter to makes things easier. appreciate any specific guidance. 2. also, car is US origin (2010 - 8 months old) with Navi so are there any upgrade required? 3. is there a good canadian based company for purchase of audi accessories? thanks!! |
Re: q5 - some technical assistance please
1. copy music files to an SD card, then upload that info onto the hard drive. you won't be able to upload directly from your iPod. I don't have an iPhone, but if it's the same as an iPod, you should be able to file transfer music onto the computer then copy those onto an SD card. Keep in mind that you will lose playlist info. Album, genre, playlist, and track, are the only preserved info.
2. you can check the version of your NAVI using the MMI. It's in the manual, or you can play around with NAVI and setup to find out your version. Compare that version with what the dealer's offering. 3. can't help you there. there's a thread about cargo liners on this forum if you're interested with that accessory. Good luck. |
Re: q5 - some technical assistance please
The JukeBox program does not allow for uploading from Ipod. I believe it has to do with copyright infringement and Apple. The SD card is the best route.
Your Navigation program should be the same. Any upgrades from Navteq are the same for both Canada and USA. regards, Patrick |
