Q5 - Rear Climate Control

Just wondering if anyone has noticed any problems with the heat and fan in the rear of the Q5. Our Q5 has extremely low fan speed that we have not been able to turn up. Seems like it would be very easy to control given the manual dials for the rear heat and fan. But maybe this is normal. Any thoughts???

Interesting. I will test it and let you know. I haven't even sat in the back yet.

It depends how you have your front climate control set up. Make sure that auto or mid vents are on for the rears to work.

I tried afretes's suggestion and it works (thank you).

Re: Q5 - Rear Climate Control

sorry for hijacking the thread but kind of related. there are two vents in the central console. according to the manual they should let cold and warm air out. In my case there is no warm air coming out. I have everything set to AUTO, all manual vent wheels are OPEN. But no warm air (ac set to 21 degrees). Can anyone comment on that?

Re: Q5 - Rear Climate Control

If the outside temperature is higher than 21, then cold air is going to blow.

maybe I did not explain well enough.
cold air is coming out (as it was in the summer). the issue is now (in the winter) when it is -6 outside and AC set to 21. No warm air coming out. Should not there be warm air coming?

Re: Q5 - Rear Climate Control

Thank you Afretes. You are exactly right. When climate control is on auto you cannot control the rear vents. When the setting is changed then you have control. Thanks for the response. This forum is great!
