I noticed my traffic (TMC) icon was active again yesterday despite my having dropped my Sirius subscription. Does anyone have any insight as to why? I somehow doubt that Sirius Canada is actually making North American traffic available.

It's a trial that Sirius US is feeding which we in the GTA pick up. It will go away soon. They do this once in a while.

Have yet another free trial from SiriusXM Canada. The good new is that the NAV TMC is working (I'm assuming the traffic data is correct) and there seems to be more flow data in GTA. Originally flow (traffic flow) was limited to Lakeshore, but currently there seems to be 400 series HWY activity. A subtle difference appears to be that Sirius Canada has changed it's name to Sirius XM Canada. I haven't bothered to call SXM Can to confirm if they know that they're sending traffic info; their website doesn't suggest anything about traffic navigation info. I suspect it's still not possible to actively subscribe for traffic info...but again, in GTA, it's RED flow during rush hour, and green other hours.
