possession tomorrow...

I am pleased to say that my Q5 has arrived and will be picked up tomorrow. If anyone has any specific things they think I should add to my checklist, I'd be happy to hear from them. Anything obscure that recent owners realized or noticed after taking possession that I can look for? There are various other things that I have seen mentioned through these posts over the last few months but if anyone thinks of anything specific to add, please do.

PP, S line, Lava/black, ADS, Nav, B&O, pano, adaptives, and soon, one happy driver.

Re: possession tomorrow...

car manual, MMI manual, roof rack, net partition (cargo space divider), Audi music interface (iPod adapter).
2 convenience keys, 1 plastic key (I imagine that comes with the PP)
mats and/or cargo liner, if you were lucky enough to negotiate for them.
Took about 40+ minutes for the whole procedure (paperwork and sales dude going over most of the features).
The manual recommends a 1500 km break-in period, which may be hard to resist with that nice winding road up to Whistler.
Oh, you may want to prepare an SD card full of tracks to dump on the hard drive tomorrow. Just have the SD handy and ask the sales guy to do it for you.
Have fun!

What is dealer invoice on Q5?

What is the dealer invoice price on the Q5 base model ($41,200 MSRP), and what can you hope to negotiate it for?
regards
Joanna

Sweet. Santa finally arrived. 16 weeks to the day, for the benefit of those still waiting and wondering. Not many clicks under the belt yet, but it is fantastic just being in there. It will take some getting used to after coming out of my A3 (which I never got tired of), but it feels great so far. In the time-honoured traditions of this forum, pics will be done—once the earth's sun decides to make its next appearance out here. I can't believe how superior this vehicle is to the S4. Love it.
(S4kidding—I'm baiting you there, mikeh).

Thanks for the information LMcQueen. That list was helpful, and filled out my own. I scrambled to have an SD card ready as you suggested, but couldn't get that done in time. Oh, well. I'm sure I will figure it out somehow. I got all-weather mats thrown in (didn't even have to fight for them), and Carl at Richmond Audi was fantastic during the run-through. There's a plug for you, Carl. Big learning curve ahead on the gizmo front, but everything seems reasonably intuitive.

Issues so far? Only one: engine/exhaust note. I didn't really notice this during my test-drive comparison of the 2.0T & the 3.2, but the 2.0T is a bit more lacking than I realized. I know this is minor aesthetic item, but coming out of the A3 with the same engine, I had always really enjoyed the throatiness and depth when that turbo spooled. I miss that already.

Oh, wait. Two: Holding a cup of coffee in the Q5 means it inevitably gets held over the lower control panel with all its expensive lights & controls. Scaaary.

I'm going to throw a general thanks to everyone on this forum. It has been a fantastic resource during the seemingly endless waiting period, and I've learned a lot. I know that warcity has gotten a lot of attention lately, but I'm adding my thanks to him here as well as his constant input and clarity has been fantastic.

Enough typing. I'm going driving now.
