Likely that is why its there earlier, from verious reports - 2.0T has longer waiting period then 3.2

I don't think it is a question of 3.2 vs 2.0. It boils down to the allocation a dealership has. If i ordered a 2.0 it would be here at the same time i was promised a 3.2 unless there were extenuating circumstances eg mechanical failures at the plant, logistical delays caused by shipping and trucking companies, (in which case 2.0 or 3.2 wouldn't be relevant). When i ordered my car i chose the dealer that had the quickest availability in the allocations. On dealer said we have filled our orders (allocations) for November and we are now looking at December delivery while another dealer had 2 more cars left that could be custom ordered for November delivery. If 2 people ordered their cars at the same time through these 2 different dealers in the same city then one would get their car a month earlier than the other.

I have also heard of one or two unscrupulous dealers BSing by telling a customer that their delivery has been delayed only to promise your vehicle to someone else who would have gone to another dealer to buy unless they got the car by a certain time and then just getting you to wait for yours.

A way to avoid this is to ask for your VIN number as soon as it is available. I got my VIN number a couple of weeks ago so i know that particular car has been built and has officially been assigned to me and can't be sold to anyone else.

Those that ordered a 2.0 in the same allocation as i ordered my 3.2 will be getting their car the same time i get mine. I went through the list of cars for November allocation and it was a mix of 2.0's and 3.2's.

Hope you all get your cars sooner rather than later.

This is crazy! My Q5 was in Vancouver last Thursday and still is not in Kelowna. It's a 4 hour drive from me and so far it has taken 5 days to go that 4 hours and it's still not here!!!!

It is almost faster to ship my Q5 across Canada then it is to truck it from Van to Ktown lol

Hey, rhyno. I think our Q5s were on the same boat. Mine arrived in Halifax on the 18th and was loaded on the train the same day. It arrived at the dealer on Friday and i take delivery Wed (tomorrow). I did notice 3 more Q5s just arrived today so i think its all in how they pick them from the rail yard and put them on the truck. I feel for you.......it was a long wait.

Congrats Hollywud22!!!! It is pretty cool to order your own Q5 but the wait really sucks. Make sure to post some pictures of your new ride when you get it!

My dealer just called me right now and said my Q5 should have been here today so it might get dropped off in the next hour or will be there first thing in the morning.

I ordered the same Q5 with the same equipment. Exception being a trailer hitch to pull my boat. The Q5 is in the states, coming up from Texas, should be delivered next week. This will be a switch for me as most of my cars have been black. Now with a white 2011 Q5 and a 2008 A4 Black it will be quite a switch in the garage.
