Hi, my name is Gladys, and I do not have my Audi Q5 yet, it has arrived in Edmonton and well be picking it up next week. I just wanted to get some feedback on whether to get the oil pan heater and also the paint protection options, I appreciate any feedback. Thxs.

Gladys........if your talking about 3M paint protection sure great idea.........oil pan heater I assume is a block heater of sorts??

I got the Zylon paint protector. Worth it.

Hi Gladys,

Welcome! It's a personal preference for what you are asking. If the Q5 will be garaged overnight for the most part, I wouldn't worry about the block heater.

As for the paint protection, it would be a good idea for Alberta drivers. I have so many chips on my IS250, it pains me every time I detail it in the spring. I going to take my car to Micropaint sometime down the road to repair these chips, which would cost a little more than the 3M clear bra, but then I put that money in later than up front.
