Just picked up our Q5 on Monday! What a blast to drive, can't wait to break it in a bit and then really test it out. Just got the windows tinted and 3M. Even though we test drove one before this one feels even smoother. Also I forgot how good the engine sounded.

 

Looks great. What percent tint do you have?

 

I think it's 35%. I just for the front two done to match the factory tint in the back.

Rummelx..........if you haven't already may I suggest some 3m protection for the front-end and a small strip on the loading deck on top of the rear bumper?I live here in Airdrie and if your taking your new baby anywhere around here including Deerfoot it will save you some heart ache.
Got ours done by Shadowtint off Macleod trail (near Hooters) they have a custom SUV Q5 kit and it was an impeccable job!

 

Thanks medic, we put 3m on the front end and rocker-panels but didn't think about the loading deck, I could see how that would help when you're loading/unloading stuff.

Ps. How much does the 3m work cost? I bought it from ebay custom cut but was unsuccessful at doing it myself. Would love to get the fog/headlights, hood and mirrors covered up.

Ya it was a little scary ordering the "purple" Q5 based on 1 picture on the internet and a tiny swatch but we're happy with the colour. It's pretty neat how much the lighting makes the colour look anywhere from very grey to very purple.

The 3m was about $900 and included the bumper, hood, fender, mirrors, rocker panels and lights. A good site was xpel.com which gave a general idea of the coverage and rough price for any given part.

 

congrats!!! Yeah, when I first placed my order for A.Grey I kind of have some doubts but it was the only one they had coming. haha I do wish I have waited to get one with more options though anyways love the color!!!
