My guess is about 4 weeks to do the production and full build (excluding shipping).

Interesting.. they must be buliding alot of Q5's if you consider the build time vs wait time.

Anyone know the total number of Q5's Audi intends to build for 2011 for the Canadian or US market? I'm really curious.

In my area, (Montreal, QC.) Q5's are still quite rare on the road. I hope Audi doesn;t flood the market as our resale values will drop if they do.

Hi rocco,

I am also in Montreal and expecting to pick up my Q5 next week. If wait times continue to be 2-3 months for a newly ordered Q5 and allocations remain limited for each dealership then hopefully the values will be maintained. I do like the fact that there aren't many on the roads.

Just curious but what are you doing for winter wheels?

thanks

I got Nokian Hakkapeliitta R from the US, had them shipped to Freeport Forwarding Inc. (-they hold shipments there 3$ per tire CAD) and brought them into Canada myself. Here in Mtl I got quotes between 270-295$ per tire, -I got them for 203$US plus 7% duty and 12.5% HST

Just shy of 1000$ , -but keep in mind these are the best winter tires money can buy.

For winter mags, -after several weeks of searching everywhere, I went with the tri-5 spoke wheel like the 20 inch s-line , except in 18inch. Got them for 199$ from a place on Timmins.
If your interested, let me know..

Now I know, it takes 10 calendar days from start of production to end of factory test.
