Is This A Good Deal? Q5 Premium 2.0T
I'm looking for some "fiduciary" advice. I'm negotiating on a Q5 Premium 2.0T with a dealer in Southern Ontario. He's willing to reduce price by $1500 off MSRP.
Is this a good deal? Should I expect a better discount?
Supply & Demand in Canada seems to be favouring close to MSRP sales...
Help me out.
Thanks.

Shop round, they can do better. Depends on the quarter you're in and they type of discounts they're giving too. I got 7% off MSRP got very lucky with the deal at the time.

7% is an amazing discount. Supplier purchase program? I know awhile ago, it was 7% . If not, warcity your the man. -that is certainly an amazing deal you got.
Supply and demand always have a great impact on pricing. 1500$ discount in todays market is pretty good if not great. Just my opinion. I'd go for it.
In Quebec, I shopped around and the dealers are not flexible at all. I've heard it more than once. " Why should I give you a better discount? There's plenty of buyers willing to pay more, I know I can sell it at a higher price.." They're so confident and even try brushing you off so you don't waste anymore of their time.
At the end of the day, the Q5 is a gem of a car and you will love it. Take the deal. Of course, try to get better, but if they don't budge take it and run!
