FSI Carbon Buildup and Q5

I'm reading a lot of reports from Audi owners regarding Carbon buildup in the intake manifold on FSI engines. Any Q5 owners had any issues yet? Also, does anyone know of a product that will eliminate this happening, or at least slowing it down or cleaning it?

Do I pour it in the gas tank or oil???? Or is it a case of getting a PhD in Audi's to take the Intake Manifold apart? I'm clueless here lol.

I wouldn't worry about these things until the car gets old old, if you're smart you wont' keep this car past 3 years, we all know what happens to German cars when they start giving problems, you need a 2nd mortgage to pay for the repairs. LOL.

Is this something that will be covered under the extended warranty? I generally keep my cars (most of them) 6-7 years so as long as the ext-warranty can get me through I'm happy.

I've heard people with less then a year old R8's, Q7's, TT's, A8's that have this problem, so I don't think this is an issue with age, I think it's an issue with the FSI engines and the IM. I know it get's expensive, I had a BMW for 10 years...it's 6 feet under now.

Guess I'll just drive it and enjoy it lol.

I take delivery in June, but it's the 3.2L FSI Direct Injection V6 quattro (as per my contract).

The 3.2L FSI Direct Injection is the only engine offered on the Q5 in North America. In you Europe they get this plus the 2.0 plus the 2.0 TDI engine, they also get a 7 speed automatic and a 6 speed manual as well. We get the wrote engines in North America.

I wish we got the manual.
