What aspect of the quality is not to your liking? Diesel in Canada is actually very high quality, low sulphur, etc. The primary difference from diesel in Europe is a lower cetane number. However, this is not an issue for the German diesels, which are made to withstand the range of diesel fuel specifications found in most countries around the world.

If you think this is true you need to get over to tdiclub.com and do some reading about HPFP failures. US spec diesel (lower lubricity to be specific) is suspected to be causing quite a few problems with the new 2.0 CR TDi engines.
