Hi there:

I was just at the dealer so I asked these questions:

1) Vag-com mods DO NOT void warranty however IF you mess around with options in there you "can" if you don't know what you're doing damage the car, then fixing it will not be under warranty. So it's best just to modify things that others have done and it's easy and simple to do such as the things listed in this thread.

2) The dealer can easily see changes you've made if they choose to look for it, such as going in your MMI and seeing the windows roll down with remote options, but there is nothing wrong with making these changes.

3) When you go for your full service inception (not oil change) but the one at 24K and all the ones thereafter, should there be a need for the dealer to update your MMI software, the vag-com mods will get over-written so you'll have to do them again.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone any information about closing the trunk with the remote?
You unlock with it with the remote, but have to press the button on the trunk to close it. Would be nice to be able to close it with the remote/key.

Any ideas?

Adding a module to control the rear hatch is about your only option...

I was trying to do the Foglight stay on mods with below instruction but didn't work. Once I am in [Long Coding Helper], usually if there is option on the byte, there will be a check boxes with explaination what you are about to change. But on this Fog lihgts stay on byte, I didn't see any boxes that I can put a check in. Anyone have done this can point out where I didn't wrong?

Front Fog Lights stay on with High-beams **
[09 – Cent. Elect.]
[Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 4 Bit 1 - Change 1 to 0

Rear Fog Lights stay on with High-beams **
[09 – Cent. Elect.]
[Coding - 07] -> [Long Coding Helper] -> Byte 4 Bit 2 - Change 1 to 0

I'm having difficulty. On instruments (17) coding, there is no long coding helper. What do I do? I want to enable needle sweep and auto Fold mirrors.
