About to place an order for Q5

Re: About to place an order for Q5
Unfortunately it's a local shop only but I have no doubt you can find similar prices in Calgary. Also check tirerack.com awesome site, tons of selections excellent prices even including shipping and duty.
Your plan sounds pretty good. I did the 19" upgrade and bought winters.
Also myself and few others have done some vag-com mods, changed fog lights to HID and I have also changed all the interior lights to LED. If you ever get around to doing those either send me a Private Message or check the other posts.
Cheers & good luck.

Re: About to place an order for Q5
I heard these were pretty scarce and dealers are receiving in limited qty any idea on wait times? One dealer I spoke to was placing orders for 2011s
Love to find one my 328 lease is up in a month but does not look like it will be possible.

Re: About to place an order for Q5
Searched online and according to a few listings there appears to be 2 dealers one in Ontario that have a few in stock. Not sure on the validity of the claims since these are so hard to find. I'll check one out and see what the truth of the matter is.
This one is at the top of my list for my next lease if the lease comes in where I want but given the rate not sure at this point. The Mississauga dealer and the sales guy I talked to basically walked you to the A4 Quattro and told you what a great car it was to deflect you from the Q5. They have a demo and they are keeping it and one coming in this month. Is looking like the Wii shortage at xmas last year to me. I don't have the time to wait on delivery.

Re: About to place an order for Q5
The one we had incoming is sold already. We are done for 2010 models, unless one of the current orders cancels.
If you place an order now, providing you can find one, it will be a June delivery. 2011 models will be here in July. It makes sense to wait and get exactly what you want instead of compromising for a color/options you don't want.
BTW, beware of some of those dealers claiming they have a "few" 2010 models. They'll take your order and deposit and then switch you to a 2011.

Re: About to place an order for Q5
Thanks
I need to be in the area of one of the dealers this morning and will see if it is a shell game. Am looking for a premium with B&O color preference is somewhat open. I'll report back after I stop by the dealer.

Re: About to place an order for Q5
So here is what I found thought I would share with anyone that may be looking. Dalmar motors in London On has a silver premium on the lot with a few other things I believe Nav and B&O sticker is 58K They have 3 more coming in one black and one white not sure on the third. None are in a config that I am willing to fork over on a lease at this moment. Silver one on the lot can be driven off tomorrow. There are also a few in Ottawa, search trader.ca for details. This is the last 3 Dalmar is getting until the 2011s start rolling.
Talked with the owner best deal they will make is 500 off sticker. I'll look at an A4 or look at Infiniti.
