2014 Audi SQ5

Any idea when pricing for the 2014 Audi SQ5 will be released?

I have put down a deposit for one in Winnipeg but have no idea what the pricing will be like and I'm starting to get a little anxious.

I have read and researched numerous posts and articles which estimate the price being anywhere from $55,000 to $78,000.

$78,000 for this model seems to be quite high compared to the pricing for a Q5 3.0T.

Has anyone in this forum heard anything different?

When we picked up our 3.0T a few weeks back our sales guy at Glenmore was saying they would be in around 10k more than what our loaded unit came in at with the same options. So I would think in around 75-76k would be close, less some negotiation room and incentives if you are not in a hurry to be the very first one to get one. By fall I bet one could be purchased for 70-72ish. About 10k more than a close to loaded 3.0T.

Nice unit. I want one myself. Misses didn’t think it was worth the wait / extra coin though.

It would be very interesting to see how well this car would sell.

I ordered one today. The price I estimate (with options) is around $73,xxx. Hopefully it doesn't go much above that otherwise I'll be kicking myself for not going with the uglier, cheaper, way better equipped and probably just as fast BMW x3.

Congrats. What did you get for options and is your estimated price of $73,xxx prior to or after tax?

I have been contacting various Audi dealerships throughout Canada myself and the consensus that I have been receiving in regards to a price increase is anywhere between $8000.00 to $10,000 plus any additional options added.

Will have to wait and see within the next 4 weeks or so to truly find out.

What disappoints me about the SQ5 is the time of release. In late 2014 early 2015 (just 1.5 years from now) the Q5 is getting a complete facelift which would put the SQ5 on an outdated platform. Unless of course Audi releases an SQ5 at the same time they redesign the Q5 (but I doubt).

B&O system, Navi, Rear sunshades and I think that's it. I passed on the rims and the adaptive cruise control and TPMS as audi charges an extra fee to get them ($500) (starting to learn that audi loves to gouge their customers with extra fees.)

Oh and I also got a $299 oil pan heater which I probably don't need and a $160 locking wheel set that I expect to be gold plated. Not by choice.

^^ Locking nuts look like ass anyway, I usually just pick up a set of spline drive tuner nuts from Summit Racing (~60$ shipped) which look a lot nicer and are usually enough to deter petty thieves. Truth is if somebody wants your rims, locking nuts are not going to stop them anyway.

I thought they just refreshed the Q5 for 2013?

Edit: Wow, looks like more than a facelift coming in 2015!

To be honest I am kind of glad I am getting a 2014, the new one will probably be loaded with all kinds of new Eco-friendly tech like start/stop and regenerative brakes to help meet aggressive EPA targets. Exactly the reason I went Q5 instead of X3 or even GLK. The X3 is a little quicker, but that start stop nonsense combined with an overwhelming amount of tech was too much... the GLK with it's 72 parameter sensor system that watches you and beeps if you start to fall asleep or make a mistake is just creepy. I just want a quick fun to drive SUV to get to work and back. Styling of crossovers is also moving away from the "coupe" look towards more of a "minivan" look.
