I bought my 07 Q7 used about 7 months ago and it came with a hitch which was a big thing for me for towing my boat. However I have since found that there is no electrical connection for hooking my boat up for signal lights etc.

I have found no definative information regarding what I need to do to get a 4 or 7 pin plug available for the trailer to hook into in any of the forums that I know of or any google search. I brought it to audi and they tell me the hitch is aftermarket and they won't touch it (nice service) and when I brought it to Uhaul they said they do not know how to hook up wiring.

Can anyone point me in the direction I need to go to get the wiring hooked up? I've read that all north american q7's came with the wiring predone but for the life of me I can't locate it. I have vag com cable so I can activate no problem.
