Turbo options ?

Just bought 2.7 s4 and would like to get some more hp. Budget would be around 10,000 not sure what a guy could do with this amount. I know building a turbo car can get exspensive ,so I would be looking for bolt on type upgrades that I could install myself. My mech ability is pretty good so things that are a little more difficult are usually not a problem. Any help or suggestions on what I could do to this car would be great.

I actually just picked up my '01 S4 this past weekend and have done a little research. If you were looking to spend your budget on some ponies under the hood, I would recommend the following site goapr.com/Audi/products/stage3_27tko4.html
But that's just my 2cents.

Hi there. Give Tom at H2SPORT in Georgetown a shout. He is an APR approved installer and has an excellent reputation in the area.

As part of HP upgrades, consider a fresh TB Kit and replace the $20 Fuel Filter.

Tom at H2Sport has helped me several times. He is very knowledgable and a great guy.

Most major vendors offer good sale prices around Christmas time each year. Also watch for the Waterfest sales etc as that is when I ordered a loaded APR Chip from Tom.

if you plan on doing some things yoruself, i'd say rs4 intercoolers, they are all alluminum better than stock s4, maybe bolt on RS4 turbos, chip it, fuel pump, intake piggies and exhaust
you'll prolly even be under budget, and alot of things you can do yourself.
the rs4 turbos can be good to 500hp. that's along what i would do. and a set of those turbos is only 2000. that apr kit if you put together by urself would be less than what they charge. then you take it to get your computer done and vola.

AWE Intercoolers are alot bigger than RS4 Intercoolers and cost slightly more. You can get new for ~$1200CDN when on sale.

$2K is a good price on a pair of K04's. K04 availability can be an issue at times so plan ahead. They want another ~$550 for the larger diameter intake piping kit and $75 for the hardware install kit. Some folks machine the stock K03 inlet pipes to fit the K04's but I prefer the larger piping kit.

If you want to do it in stages, do the Turbo's and everything else that is easily accessible while drivetrain is out of car, such as TB kit, clutch, engine and trans mounts, downpipes, etc.

You can run stock or Stage I / II chip ECU code with stock fueling on K04's. You can do a StageIII Fuelling Kit (injectors, pump, FPR, etc) at any time without pulling engine.

^ Yep definitely good advice... only pull the engine once...
