Default K04 turbo help

I may be able to get a K04 pretty cheap. With that being said, to put it on the car, what else would be required? just strait plug and play? what other parts should i be taking into account....

Im talking the bare minimum to get it to work properly and reliably. Not some 300hp monster or anything.

Thanks in advance.

How cheap are we talking here? I'll buy it off you even if you make a profit...but you might need to upgrade some of your hosing etc that is pretty much it

I dont know if its really good but from where i have been looking it seems to be pretty good. I can get it for $360 CAN shipped to my door brand new. Seems to be the cheapest by far.

So if i change my turbo to the K04, with out changing anything else, would i see any gains? Or is it jsut going to be a stronger turbo.

No gains, just a bigger lagg if you are not chipped

Is the 360 a good price for it?

Since i am going to get the car chipped in 3 weeks time, would it be smarter for me to change the turbo first and then get it chipped?

360?! R u sure it's OEM k04 and not some cheap make? is it a reliable source? are they going to take ur cash and dissapear?
let's just say it is real, that's a pretty amazing deal would you be willing to share this source?
I just bought 2, and the cheapest i could find them were 1100 EACH.
you will get gains from it, but inless ur chipped and whatnot your not going to get astromical gains. it'll just be more reliable.

k that is definately not k04. This pic is of my K04. I would definatly be carful buying something like that. chances are if it's too good to be true, it probrably is. It might run, but it might not run well. the specs they say are iffy. I wouldnt, but that's just me. is it worth it for you to have to pay to replace it if it fails? i know it's not for me.
Mind you i have an S4, with 2, so the cost of the turbo's isnt the issue, i have warrenty, it's the labor getting them out! big job. i dont know what work is involved in a 1.8 but that's something i would consider.

Yup that thing is garbage...It is a chepo replica with a K04 plate that pretty much anyone can make. That is not OEM and I would not buy it IMO stay away .
