is Pfaff Tuning or Independent Tuning better??? I'm wanting to lower the car, paint the calipers red and possibly tune the ECU to increase the power even more. I know that MTM came out with a module that claims 430HP but there's a lot of discussion about the validity of that. Any other suggestions for an ECU tune that would generate similar power that's proven??

I know there's a few questions in there but thanks for your advice in advance!!

 

Pfaff Dealer, they're good with audi tunning and u still have warranty for u car.

 

Just so you have other options, H2Sport in Georgetown has done alot of work on my b7 a4.. i've had my stage 3 done after a VAG shop in Laval Qc had installed everything incorrectly(still rather pissed off with their incompetence). they've diagnosed problems efficiently, ingeniously figured out how to have my car pass e testing (since apr stage 3 kits don't pass in ontario), fixed the cam follower problem (engineered in house), installed my water meth etc etc.. The team spends a great deal of time explaining exactly how things work, give me such great service and really fair prices.. I've never had such a great experience.. i will be a customer as long as i drive anything audi/porsche/vw

With your car being so new as well as the new V6 Supercharged platform being new I would wait a little while until the aftermarket industry catches up. There has been significant changes and improvements from companies like JHM and VAST regarding the 4.2 V8 but I have not heard of any major aftermarket developments for your car as yet.

Hope this makes sense and besides the car is still under warranty. We had an opportunity to compare a tuned B7 S4 and a stock B8 S4 like yours and the B8 took the V8 by two car lengths. So you already have an amazing car and waiting for the aftermarket industry will be worth it.

 

They are both good from what I gather, as is H2Sports (but kinda far for me). Pfaff is supposedly more pricey.

There's no proper ECU tune yet, MTM's piggyback is iffy at best, I would wait (that's what I am doing). I will probably wait for all the chips to come out before deciding on one and then getting the exhaust to match when time comes.

 

Pfaff Tuning is owned by dealer but will work on any platform. They're tuning my 2000 A8. They mostly work on VW/Porsche/Audi and Mercedes. Have also heard good things about H2Sport in Georgetown.

Try Singh Autosport in California for some high end ECU upgrades. They usually do physical chip replacement though and will need circuit board sent to them.
