I have a 2008 Audi A4 2.0t S line (Quattro) with automatic transmission. I wanted some advice on engine mods for my car before i got anything done. I was considering putting in an APR carbon cold air intake as well as getting an ECU upgrade. I was looking at both APR Stage 1 and Unitronic Stage 1 and Stage 1+.

My gf has a 2011 GTI and is always bragging about how its faster and I just want my car to be able to beat hers off the line and at the finish

Any advice on which one I should do or any other suggestions would be appreciated. I am a uni. student so my budget is low (around 1000 - 1200)

I was also wondering how to get a better noise out of the engine and turbo (the GTI stock exhaust sounds so much better than mine ) I dont think i can afford a whole exhaust system but a friend told me that all i had to do was cut my resonators and that the cold air intake would also make it louder with more turbo spool. Any advice on that would be great too.

I'm going back on monday to load my ECU with Stage 1+, currently running on the 6Hr trial, i can tell you my car runs much better. Give it a try

 

I've heard really good things about the Sprint Booster for the DSG trans. Sound ? APR (Carbonio) is AMAZING coupled with AWE Catback.

Stage 1 flashes are money well spent, no matter who you use, it's better than stock!
