Replacing water pump on '89 200 Q, can't find chassis number

Replacing water pump on '89 200 Q, can't find chassis number
Hello all!
I am trying to replace the water pump on this "classic"
and I need to find the chassis number in order to make sure I pick the right one.
This model has two different water pumps available, one for chassis # 004457 and one for #004458.
Everything I have read tells me that the chassis number would be the last 6 digits on my VIN#, but mine is #004523.
How do I know which one to select?
