Audi Allroad 2003 - Daytime running lights
Hi,
My 2003 Allroad comes from California and does not have the daytime running lights (DLR). This is required to pass the federal inspection in Canada. I have a few questions: - How can I quickly enable daytime running lights on an 2003 Audi Allroad ? - Is that only a software change or it requires re-wiring ? - Is that something I can do myself or you suggest I go to a dealer ? Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks a lot! -- Guillaume |

BTW.: I heard about a DRL "fuse mod" the person who explained it to me also told me it didn't work on his 2001 Allroad... I don't know if I should spend time on trying it.
I'm looking for the easiest/cheapest solution. :) Thanks! |

Thanks 1move.
I have done some research and will probably go to a dealer for my car. |
Re: Audi Allroad 2003 - Daytime running lights
Don't go to the dealer! It is really, really easy to effect DRLs. Look at this thread for the best way to go about it. forums.audiworld.com/allroad/msgs/235835.phtml
I think the jumper wire on the back of the headlight switch is much easier and better than the fuse mod. You will read that I did it with a switch so I could turn on/off. If you only want to pass inspection, you can place a temporary jumper wire in the switch and then remove it after you've passed. Total time should be about 5 minutes!!!!! Have fun. |

not sure but I think the headlight switch is different in Canada
go to the dealer buy one slap it in it should turn on the corner lights, fog lights and tail lights |
