Allroad tires

I've had my 03 about a year(california import) and the pirellis are done. I have the twin spoke 17" stock rims with 225/55/17. Does anyone know if there is enough clearance to go to a 245/50/17 on the stock rims?
Also looking for a quieter ride than the pirelli P6 allroads!!! any suggestions?
thx
Todd

Re: Allroad tires

You may need 10mm spacers for clearance of 245's.Thats what i have on my 01 Allroad. The tires I have are Dunlop SP Sport 5000 P245/50ZR 17 and these tires are very quiet.

Re: Allroad tires

I've got 245 Sport 9000's on 18" rims for summers on my allroad. No spacers, stock 18" wheel offsets. The winters are Michelin Alpin PA3's on the stock 5 spoke 17"s.

Seems to me that spacers AND wider tires are just going to make you even closer to the wheel arches. There's lots of room on the inside.......
