Hey everyone, my name is Rob. I have had my Audi for nearly a year and I have a few questions I am hoping other members can help me with.
First off I should let you know I have had some performance tuning done to my Audi, the first time I had the GIAC chip and now I have the Audi Stasis Tuning. The problems with my car started shortly after I had the GIAC tuning done, which increased hp by about 50 and added about 87 ft/lbs torque. I had only got to enjoy this extra power for a little over 2 weeks, then on my way to Calgary (speeding more than usual) my car seemed to lose all power, couldnt accelerate above 130km/h. I took it to the German Car Specialists, a place in Calgary, the next day to find out what was going on. They took apart the engine and found that the high pressure fuel pump was about to fail (cams worn badly I think they said) as well as one cylinder needed either a new sleeve or new cylinder (I forget what they said since it was a few months ago). Before this engine trouble I was noticing that when I would go through the gears quickly, the engine would hesitate in the higher rpm's. So I happened to get the engine repairs covered under warranty (which was apparently around $4500 worth of work) and Audi flashed the GIAC chip off.
Now I have the Stasis tuning (which is incredibly inferior to the GIAC tuning) and lately I am finding the same hesitation starting to happen just like last time.
I am wondering if anyone has had this same problem and could give me some advice on what steps I should be taking to fix this problem and prevent it from happening again. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
