Just got my hands on a 2004 A4 1.8T Sport package with only 117 000km for a very cheap price! The car is great and I'm really pleased with my acquisition. The car is bone stock but the previous owner already debadged the trunk(good move :P)!!

EDIT: While I'm here, is the APR stage 1+ chip would be a good move?? i'm really considering it. The passat is unitronic stage 1 but I don't like the fact that I don't have multiple programmations like with APR which you can even put back to stock.

 

Congrats and nice car! As for apr I had it on my 07 A4 2.0T. Loved it. Well worth it and biggest bang for your buck. Not sure what performance increase is on the 1.8 but I'm sure it's pretty solid. Worth getting when they have their sales.

Thanks guys!! By reading some of the stuff on here and vortex, giac seems like a more aggresive chip and more tunable at stage 2 as well. And also, replacing that huge restrictive cat by a test pipe + downpipe has quite a performance gain.

 

i agree with the test pipe for sure. cant say about the giac as i had apr stage 2+ on my last B7 A4 but this one i'm thinking of GIAC.
