Jumping in!

Hello all. Please let me intro myself. I am not a new Audi owner but this is the first time jumping into the Forum.

I have owned a total of 8 Audis since 2001 and have loved them all. Currently have 4 in the yard, 2 '04 A4's (one auto, one 6 spd) and two S4's (one '04 Cabriolet and one '05 Avant) both 6 spds. Yard looks like small dealership.

I've done some minor mods and upgrades to the A4's and am contemplating some work on the S4's. The question at this moment relates to the best exhaust system to put under these cars. I've heard many comments about noise levels and unpleasant droning with some exhausts and am seeking to tap into your experience regarding the choice among Neuspeed, APR, Borla, Magnaflow and Milltek.

My goal is to improve performance, but don't want to have an overbearing rappy kind of exhaust note. I have been told that the Neuspeed or Borla would probably be the better choices. What to do?

After that, modifying the front ends with the LLtek Hofele upgrades to the RS appearance. Good experiences or bad----How say you?

Eagerly awaiting your comments and thanks in advance.

04 S4 Avant? *drool*

When going with an exhaust, i'd first listen to someone that has one if at all possible to see if you like the sound. For the most part many people like the Borla offerings but its all personal taste so it depends on what you're into.

The front end modification should go smoothly, plenty of people do them, or even euro-spec bumpers.

Thanks Marko. Have not yet found anyone in the Montreal area with modified exhausts but will keep looking. You`re right about personal taste and hit and miss til you find the right exhausts is a touch expensive. Hope to connect with other Audi enthusiasts in this area soon.
Thanks again.
