Hello

My name is Keith...and I just bought a 2004 A4 1.8T (CVT). Unfortunately, I'm joining this forum out of necessity...as my car is doing the famous "PRNDS" flashdance. It sucks ....and has completely sapped away all the admiration I've been feeling for style and feel of the car.

I'm not trying to bum anyone out......just hoping to find practical advice on facing this repair. In my humble view, and from what I have already read in this forum,........this should have been a DEALER RECALL many years ago.

Here's what will end up happening....

Does anyone remember the famous "60 Minutes" news profile on AUDI UNINTENDED ACCELERATION:( that resulted the loss of human life & in Audi backing out of US Sales??????.

It's going to happen again......with these defective TCM CVT vehicles.

This forum is proof that Audi is already WELL AWARE of this dangerous vehicle condition.....and....Mark my words - at some point they've got to pay the fiddler.

My A4 already almost caused damage from a long pregnant pause before radically engaging in reverse at the gas station. Did somebody say CLASS ACTION???

Re: Hello

Ya man...I just bought an audi and I am nooooo fan boy. I only bought it cause honestly the price was right and it was there when i needed it...I am a nissan guy all the way and I used to work at an audi/Vw dealership...Some of these cars (not all) that come off the production line are freakin death traps.

Re: Hello

its strange that you would say that.

with over a Million + audis sold worldwide, and barely a handful of compaints, audi has done fantastic over the course of this decade to improve their automobiles.

I can understand the frustration in owning a car that doesnt perform the way it should, and i sympathize. I just dont see too many audi's as deathtraps.

well; it;s just my two cents.

Re: Hello

you make a valid point audi has done more in the last decade...in fact more than most other car company i would say. But that's is also in because they had alot to do...their cars are so nice that when the slightest things happen people have no choice but to raise the bar and hold them to a higher standard...all in all audi's are beast cars tho...
