Electric conversion, anyone?
 

Greetings Audi cohorts,
I have joined this forum after owning my TT for only 4 years. I had wanted one of these since they were first introduced, over 20 years ago.
I bought this one while living in Toronto. It is an American model, thus there is no rear bumper incorporated into the rear panel. I really like the lines of this version.
I relocated to Vancouver a couple years ago, shipped the TT, and have enjoyed the coastal life with it since.
Unfortunately, the engine has finally failed after 267,000 kms. I looked into replacing it, however, the cost associated with replacement is as much as I bought the car for in the first place. Sentimentally worth it, not so much logically though.
That being said, if anyone knows of a shop that can retrofit an electric motor and EV system in or near the Metro Vancouver area, I would consider converting.
