At 145,000 km the thing just gave up, and the pump, camshaft, follower and other assorted parts need replacement. The car is at Audi dealer right now and I am facing a very large bill. I read that Audi knows about this wear issue and has extended the warranty to 120,000 miles. Does anyone know where that bulletin or recall or notification is? The dealer obviously is more interested in me paying rather than them inquiring about any extended warranty. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

I'm sorry i hadn't seen this ealier and i faced the very same fate with my built B7 A4. Audi Canada (800) 822 2834 should be able to assist in your cam follower issue`s if for any reason you have engine mods (flash) the stealership can most likely will report the car as modded which will void the TSB warranty.
Contact Audi directly however they are doing what they can to dimiss more claims than approved.
if possible have someone remove the tune and have the car towed to an Authorized Audi dealer, i`ve found good help from Pfaff Tuning speak with Jimmy he might be able to help you.
He`s been known to help anyone out if he can!

 

My car is an 08 TT which is NOT on the extended warranty list despite having the same engine as an 07 A4 and many others. Audi Canada categorically refuses to cover any work or labour. I served Audi Canada and decided to take them to Court. There is a mediation session this August at the Court House.
