TT Reliability / Maintenance

TT Reliability / Maintenance
Hey guys,
I've been thinking of getting an 2002 - 2004 TT Quattro Coupe, and I was wondering how the reliability and maintenance is on it.
How much are you guys paying to maintain your car every year? What happens to break down the most on the TT? What should I be looking out for when checking out used TTs? How much more would I expect to be paying over let's say a G35 or a Lexus IS?
My experience is with Japanese cars, so I'm just dipping my toes into the European scene.
Thanks.

Re: TT Reliability / Maintenance
I've heard the same about the cluster problems. When investigating the purchase of my TT I basically deducted that the newer model you go, the more bugs were worked out of them. For the years you are considering I would suggest it's a reliable car as a daily driver. I've only had my 2003 TT for 5 months, it's been perfect so far (knocks on wood...). Service at the dealer is expensive, I just had an sythetic oil change there recently with the associated checks, to the tune of $136.00. Love the TT though.

Yup, that would be fun to get a shot of both TT's. The VWvortex members sometimes have VW/AUDI GTG's in Barrie, we should hit one of them up together. Your car looks pretty sweet by the way, really like the rims and the drop, very unique color also. My TT is still bone stock, not that I mind very much, I'm very thrilled with it as is. My other hobby, boating, is sucking me dry these days, so no money for TT mods. Try pulling up to the pumps with a 275 liter tank and marina gas at 1.54/ liter. Can you say painfull!!!
