And Jazz, "Further, all TT owners covered by the suit will receive a 2 year extension of their existing 4 year warranty (limited to the instrument cluster)." I wonder if that's where they got the 6 year no Audi Service excuse from?

Right, so this leaves me to go to the city and talk to the service manager? If he isn't willing to pay for it..what should I do? I don't feel that I should be held responsible to pay for it.

im not sure......keep calling audi canada i guess? say i love audi but i feel rippppped off! what can you do for me today! and if they say sorry call the next day and so on and so on.....they have hundreds of people on the C/S lines so you wont get the same person twice.

Am I understanding the Class Action outcome correctly... the Cluster will be replaced if there is a malfunction within 6 years of the "In Service" date ?
Have an 01 TT with a Cluster that has developed gauge problems and is past 6 years of In Service.
Note that ModuleMaster indicate they can repair erratic Cluster Gauges for $160US.
Update: Shipped Cluster to ModuleMaster for gauge repair. There were several problems including a now repaired intermittent connection between the wires and crimp pins inside the blue 32pin cluster connector; pin 8 is CTS, pin 5 is fuel level and pin 7 is a shared ign switched Ground supporting multiple sensors. After soldering these pins and a few others, no more electrical intermittent DTC's being trappedin VAG-COM, improvement but the Coolant Temp and Fuel Level Gauges continue to read erratic. A surface mount line driver chip in the cluster goes bad with age / vibration / ambient temp fluctuations causing erratic gauges. This is just one of the issues behind the US Class Action affecting MKI TT Clusters.
Blue 32 Pin Cluster connector with cover removed. Pin 7 brown / white stripe wire is a misprinted "chassis ground" in the Bentley Wiring Diagrams - Ground Connection 269. In reality this is an ignition switched ground with a 6 wire splice in the main harness just to the right of the steering column inside dash affecting several sensors including Fuel Level G, CTS G2, etc.
