Default Signal Light

I am having some troubles with the signal lights. I am thinking it is the relay, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought before I go out and try to find one. What happens is that when I hit the turn signal it will blink maybe one, sometimes twice then stop. Of coarse this issue happens to me on my way to the city on a sunday, so I was driving around like a bat-out-of-hell looking for somewhere to get a relay; but no luck. The hazards work fine though.

Thanks for your input.

It is very likely the turn signal relay. Most early 2000's Audi's have two relays inside the unit, one for turn signals and one for hazards. I've opened a B5 Unit and the two relays are identical and are interchangable.
